Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking to appoint a highly competent and dedicated Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children of all abilities to succeed. The successful candidate will also have experience in supporting pupils to achieve their full potential within a primary setting. They will be able to demonstrate effective strategies that support pupils’ learning, raise attainment and the ability to motivate pupils to engage positively with school. Our school currently has over 80 pupils on the Special Educational Needs register, including 12 pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting pupils with a wide range of needs; helping them to access learning and thrive in school. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with children and who is able to build strong, positive relationships in order to support the individual needs of every pupil they work with. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting pupils with complex additional needs, including those with neurodiversity, and will be committed to promoting inclusion and equal opportunity for all.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Demonstrate good English, mathematics and IT skills;
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
- Work alongside teachers and leaders to deliver targeted interventions that demonstrate clear impact for pupils.

- Demonstrate flexibility and adapt their practice to respond to pupils’ individual needs.
