Food Preparation Assistant - Meadow View Primary School - Ref: EE11225
Walsall Council is looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable individual to assist in the production and delivery of school meals.
Successful applicants will hold or be training for the Essential Food Hygiene Certificate and will undertake general kitchen duties including cleaning associated equipment.
We offer excellent pay rate (G3 £13.05–£13.47 per hour), uniform and access to training.
Location: Meadow View Primary School, Frampton Way, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 7UJ.
Hours per week: 10 (38 weeks per year). Times: 11.45am–1.45pm. Work hours are indicative; start and end times may vary within the stated hours.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production and delivery of school meals.
- General kitchen duties including cleaning equipment.
Qualifications:
- Essential Food Hygiene Certificate or training.
Pre‑employment: a health questionnaire is required prior to commencing kitchen duties. The post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty – you will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
