Walsall Council is looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable individual to assist in the production and delivery of school meals. The successful candidate will undertake general kitchen duties including the cleaning of associated equipment. In return, we offer an excellent pay rate, uniform, and access to training.

11 Church St, Clayhanger, Walsall, WS8 7EG
Hours & Schedule:
Hours per week: 17 hours 30 minutes (Term time - 38 weeks per year)
Times: 10.15am - 1.45pm Monday to Friday
Please note that work hours are indicative of the requirements of the post. Start and end times may vary (within the hours stated) depending on the needs of the service.
Qualifications & Special Conditions:
Successful applicants will hold or train for the Essential Food Hygiene Certificate.
Compliance & Requirements:
In line with FSA guidance and due to the identifiable health and safety risks involved, there is a requirement to undertake a pre-employment health questionnaire prior to commencing kitchen duties. This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
