Casual Food Preparation Assistant
Salary: G3 £13.26 per hour. Working hours: flexible pattern between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday during term time. Hours are not guaranteed and will be allocated on an ‘as and when needed’ basis to cover annual leave and sickness.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the production and delivery of school meals across the borough.
- Perform general kitchen duties including cleaning of associated equipment.
Qualifications
- Hold or train for the Essential Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Comply with the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty, providing accurate spoken English.
- Complete a pre‑employment health questionnaire before starting kitchen duties (FSA guidance).
Conditions
- Job is on a casual, non‑contractual basis.
- Work is allocated on an ‘as and when needed’ basis.
- Annual leave and sickness will be covered by this role.
