Grade B – £28,598 – £34,434 per annum. Working 36.5 hours per week. Office based in Birmingham B11.

We are looking for people who are flexible, adaptable and have a can-do attitude, working well under pressure to make a difference for our citizens.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out day-to-day visits, including take-to-views with customers, moving out visits, and handling electric and gas meter issues with preferred energy providers.
  • Prepare letting plans, create tenancy support service plans and upload proofs.
  • Update computer-based systems daily in a timely manner.
  • Deal with emails and customer queries, taking ownership of work end-to-end and achieving positive outcomes.
  • Provide day-to-day support within the void service to enhance and achieve performance and turnaround times.
  • Partner and collaborate to reach the end goal for tenants.
  • Work across all BCC teams, departments and agencies.
  • Cover for emergencies, sickness and annual leave as required; may be required to work city wide and provide wrap-around support.
  • Work lone and ensure systems are checked in line with BCC health and safety policy.

You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

  • A track record of delivering high-quality customer-focused service for residents moving into BCC property.
  • Ability to support the voids service through times of change to meet business objectives and priorities.
  • Excellent understanding of BCC policies and procedures related to voids and lettings integrated service.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Focus on performance.
  • Effective time management, juggling conflicting priorities and enquiries with ease.
  • Problem-solving, resolving issues swiftly and efficiently.
  • Resilience and ability to work in a highly pressurised environment, making sound decisions under pressure.
  • KPI and performance-driven mindset, ensuring void properties are let as quickly as possible to reduce or avoid void and rent loss.
  • Ability to cover for emergencies, sickness and annual leave as required; work city wide and provide wrap-around support if necessary.
  • Working knowledge of lone-working safety procedures and health and safety policy.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
