An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sacred Heart Primary School for a Deputy Head Teacher due to our wonderful Deputy Head Teacher securing her first Headship. We are looking for someone who will bring significant experience of school leadership who has the drive, energy, enthusiasm and innovation to be a key member of the senior leadership team at our school.

The Governors wish to appoint a Deputy Head Teacher with a proven track record of excellent classroom practice who is child centred and will support our school values and ethos. We also need an ambitious and energetic professional with experience of leading teams, monitoring teaching and learning, and experience of successfully leading whole school improvement and raising standards. Our school is committed to collaborative leadership with a relentless focus on school improvement. Sacred Heart Primary School is a two form-entry primary school in Tipton for children from 3 to 11 years of age. Our vision is to develop young people who will have active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. We stress the total development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional, cultural and physical. We are looking to appoint a Deputy Head Teacher who:

• Has excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;
• Will lead and inspire good behaviour outcomes to enable learning;
• Will foster a positive and effective partnership between students, parents and the community;
• Has a strong understanding of assessment, pupil progress and effective school self evaluation 3
• Is committed to inclusion and ensuring that every child is able to flourish.
• Will work closely with the Head Teacher, Senior Leadership Team and governing body.
• Has a good understanding of Opal and the opportunities this brings to our children

Grade: Leadership Pay Range L11 - L15 - £66,638 - £73,105 per annum
