Sacred Heart Primary School (SIPS) is a two form-entry primary school in Tipton for children from 3 to 11 years of age. Our vision is to develop young people who will have active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. The Governors at Sacred Heart Primary School are looking to appoint a Cleaner to work 15 hours per week to start as soon as possible subject to the satisfactory completion of all necessary clearances. This is a permanent post over 52 weeks with an agreed annual leave entitlement. Please note all annual leave must be taken outside of term time.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a clean environment for our pupils and staff and will work under the direction of the Site Manager. You will be required to work 3.00pm – 6.00pm (Mon-Fri). During some of the school holidays you will be required to work alternative shift patterns, hours to be discussed.
Responsibilities- Provide a clean environment for pupils and staff and work under the supervision of the Site Manager.
- Based on the shift pattern, work from 3.00pm to 6.00pm (Mon-Fri) with possible alternative shifts during school holidays.
- Support the school’s cleaning operations to maintain a hygienic and safe environment for all users.
Ideally, similar experience would be advantageous but not essential, as training will be given. Our cleaners have the responsibility for providing a clean environment for our pupils and staff and work under the supervision of the site manager.
Safeguarding and DBS requirements will apply; the successful applicant will be required to undertake all relevant safeguarding checks and an enhanced DBS check. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children’s Barring List Check. If you are barred from working with children you are breaking the law if you apply for this post. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
