Sacred Heart Primary School (SIPS), a two‑form entry primary school in Tipton, seeks an Exceptional Early Years Lead to combine high‑quality classroom practice with EYFS leadership responsibility.
The successful candidate will take a leading role in the day‑to‑day management, organisation and development of the Nursery provision while contributing strategically to the wider EYFS phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day‑to‑day service for the Nursery provision, ensuring high quality teaching, learning and assessment.
- Support the EYFS team to maintain and enhance teaching standards.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with staff, families and external professionals, including support for children with SEND.
- Key Qualifications and Experience
- Excellent class teacher with substantial experience leading EYFS.
- High expectations for themselves and learners.
- Successful collaboration as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum and the Early Years Assessment Framework.
- Read Write Inc trained (not essential).
- Key Requirements
- Enhanced DBS clearance, safeguarding checks and satisfactory references.
- Exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
- Capability to speak English (essential).
- Willingness to undergo pre‑employment checks in line with KCSIE.
- Employment Conditions
- Permanent from January 2027; full‑time class teacher with additional TLR 2A.
- Grade: Teachers Main Pay to Upper Pay Range £32,916 – £51,048 per annum plus TLR 2A (£3,527).
- Hours: Full time.
