Start date: September 2026 – August 2027 (subject to satisfactory clearance checks). The Headteacher and Governors of Wednesbury Oak Academy (SIPS) are seeking an ambitious, inspirational leader who will use their understanding of how children learn and how staff can be supported to develop their own practice, and move the school forward. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner to be part of a team striving for excellence. The successful candidate will join the school’s leadership team of senior and middle leaders to become an integral part of the ongoing school improvement process. They will be involved in all aspects of the development of our school with a specific focus on developing teaching and learning within the EYFS, the school‑based AP provision and across the whole school for Pupil Premium.

Requirements & Conditions

All staff and volunteers are expected to share Wednesbury Oak Academy’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicant will be required to undertake all relevant safeguarding checks and an enhanced DBS check, including a Children’s Barring List Check. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Application will include a mandatory online search of all shortlisted candidates; candidates will be able to discuss any concerns at the interview.
