Light Hall School is looking for an organised and enthusiastic person to join our Food department as a Food Technician. This role is a fantastic opportunity to support food practicals, including preparing ingredients and equipment, setting up teaching areas, assisting during lessons, and helping to keep kitchens and preparation areas clean, safe, and well organised.

You will also help monitor stock and assist with ordering, storage, and rotation of supplies. One of the real joys of this role is working with our fantastic students who are friendly, eager to learn, and really enjoy food lessons.

This position requires:

  • Full-time equivalent salary range: £24,796 - £25,583 per annum
  • Actual salary: £14,009 - £14,454 per annum
  • Required to work 25 hours a week, 38 weeks a year (term time only)
  • Working hours: 9.00am – 2.30pm daily with half an hour for lunch break
