Position: Temporary Accommodation Coordinator (temporary contract until approximately 15 March 2027) – 37 hours per week. Hybrid working with more than 40% on site.
Salary: £34,434 to £39,152 per annum plus Essential Car User Allowance.
Location: Tamworth, Staffordshire – a vibrant borough with strong transport links, green spaces, and a growing population of over 77,000. The council is engaged in major transformation projects, including the Future High Street Fund, to revitalize the town centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Line‐manage the supporting housing team, developing innovative approaches to extend Temporary Accommodation services to all clients.
- Day‑to‑day management of all Council Temporary Accommodation, including empty property management and the move‑on of occupants.
- Review and implement improvements to council Temporary Accommodation processes.
- Manage supported housing, developing innovative approaches to housing‑first, tenancy sustainment and homelessness prevention, and collaborate with partners to develop and manage externally commissioned partners.
- Deliver a proactive approach to a wide customer base, working with partner agencies and leading a team providing support services to enable customers to move to independent housing.
