Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the extended provision team, ensuring engagement, enjoyment and meaningful experience for primary age children.
  • Provide guidance, develop, and oversee a planned programme of activities that suit the age and needs of the children.
  • Ensure child safety at all times and maintain child safeguarding procedures.
  • Engage with children through play and conversation, and meet and greet parents to give feedback on their child’s time at the club.
  • Carry out administrative duties in line with the provision’s procedures.

Qualifications

  • Leadership qualities and the ability to motivate staff.
  • Understanding of child development and learning.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to design and deliver a varied programme of activities.
  • Knowledge of children with SEN needs.
  • Understanding that the quality of the extended services provision impacts learning and pupils’ attitudes to school.
  • Current food hygiene certificate (desirable).
  • Paediatric first aid qualification (desirable).
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures.
