Redhill Primary Academy (Permanent – Term Time Only)

The contracted hours for this post are 28.75 hours per week. Hours of work: 8.45am until 3pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch break per day). Salary: £16,358 per annum (actual). Successful candidates are eligible for performance related pay linked to Academy policy in addition to their salary after an initial qualifying period.

We are seeking to appoint highly motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting teaching and learning. The successful candidates will have high expectations of both attainment and behaviour, and a commitment to helping all children achieve their full potential.

This post is suitable for both experienced and qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistants and represents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, ambitious, and energetic individual to work with our skilled team of teachers.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children is essential
  • Good English, Maths and communication skills
  • This post is a designated customer-facing role under the fluency duty and therefore requires a specified level of spoken English, as stated in the person specification

This school is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All successful candidates are subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check with barred list (for regulated activity posts) as well as other pre‑appointment checks outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2024), such as an online check, suitable references, ID checks, and proof of qualifications (where appropriate).

This post also requires checks under the Childcare Disqualification Regulations and Childcare ACT 2006, which includes a criminal record self-disclosure form to be completed and returned prior to interview.
