Telford & Wrekin Council is seeking to join their Transport Team, responsible for delivering safe, reliable, sustainable, and innovative transport services to the residents of Telford.
A D1 licence is desirable for this role, but applications are encouraged from individuals willing to work towards achieving it.
Responsibilities:- Drive and be responsible for the operation of mini buses providing specialist transport to passengers, including children with special educational needs, adults with disabilities, social care clients, and members of the general public accessing bespoke transport services.
- Support clients and their families, working closely with the passenger assistant and office team to ensure the safety, comfort, and dignity of all passengers is respected at all times.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and organisational skills.
- Excellent team player with a positive and flexible attitude.
