Telford & Wrekin Council is seeking to join its Transport Team, responsible for delivering safe, reliable, sustainable, and innovative value for money transport services to the residents of Telford. Experience in Private Hire work is desirable for this role, although full training and support will be provided. D1 entitlement is not required for the role, although it may be desirable.

The successful candidate will drive and be responsible for the operation of a licensed vehicle providing specialist transport to passengers, including children with special educational needs, adults with disabilities, and social care clients accessing bespoke transport services. The post holder will support clients and their families and work closely with the passenger assistant (where applicable) and office team to ensure that the safety, comfort, and dignity of all passengers are respected at all times.
Successful candidates will possess good communication skills (both written and verbal), organisational skills, be excellent team players, and have a positive and flexible attitude.
