Telford & Wrekin Council, Randlay Primary School and Nursery, we are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive School Administrator to join our busy and friendly school office. Ideal for someone who enjoys working in a vibrant school community, can stay calm under pressure and takes pride in providing a warm and professional front‑of‑house service. Term Time Only, 35 hours per week, 8.00 am – 3.30 pm daily, 43.32 weeks per year.
Working closely with the School Business Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our school office. Every day brings something different and the role offers a rewarding mix of administration, communication and interaction with children, families and staff.
About the Role- Front‑of‑house reception – welcoming pupils, families and visitors and managing enquiries
- Breakfast club – help assist the Breakfast Club team by welcoming children, monitoring the hall and recording the daily attendance on ParentPay
- Attendance administration – recording daily attendance accurately and submitting key data, forms and letters
- Office administration – preparing correspondence, maintaining spreadsheets, processing pupil information and managing the school diary
- Resource and finance tasks – ordering supplies, receipting goods and submitting invoices for payment
- General admin support – assisting the Headteacher and School Business Manager
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
- Confidence using ICT, including Word, Excel, email and internet
- A flexible, positive attitude and the ability to use initiative
- The capacity to stay focused and efficient in a fast‑paced environment
Supportive training will be provided. Previous experience in a school or education setting is helpful but not essential.
