HR Advisor (Part Time)
Position with Telford & Wrekin Council, Telford, UK.
About the Role
We are looking for a part‑time HR Advisor to join our HR/OD team in an award‑winning local authority. The role involves providing professional HR support, advice and guidance to managers, school leaders and external customers, and contributing to the delivery of high quality council services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on policies and procedures to managers and school leaders.
- Support the HR/OD service in achieving commercial and organisational priorities.
- Manage a varied and complex caseload in a fast‑paced environment while championing equality and diversity.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior management, service delivery managers and external stakeholders.
- Represent the council in a professional and confident manner.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven HR advisory experience, preferably within local government or schools.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Resilient, enthusiastic and able to maintain high standards of service delivery.
- Knowledge of equality and diversity legislation and ability to champion related initiatives.
- A positive and professional attitude towards challenging work environments.
