Telford & Wrekin Council: Horsehay Village Golf and Fitness Centre is the Council’s flagship municipal golf course located in Telford. The Centre features an 18-hole golf course, a 21-bay floodlit driving range, a 9-hole Footgolf course, and an Aspirations Health & Fitness facility on site. We are looking for a dynamic, committed Greenkeeper to join the Leisure Services Team at Horsehay Golf & Fitness Centre.
The Greenkeeper will work well under their own initiative, be responsible for the daily upkeep of the golf course, and focus on delivering high service standards and delivery. The role also requires experience and competence in operating tractors with attachments, cylinder and rotary mowers, and other machinery. Knowledge of golf is desirable but not essential. The standard work week is Monday – Friday with potential weekend duties.
Responsibilities- Maintain the golf course on a day-to-day basis to high service standards.
- Operate tractors with attachments, cylinder and rotary mowers, and other machinery as required.
- Work with minimal supervision and show initiative in daily tasks.
- Assist with additional course maintenance duties as needed.
- Experience in operating agricultural/grounds equipment (tractors with attachments, mowers) is preferred.
- Knowledge of golf course maintenance is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday with possible weekend work.
