Responsibilities
- Leading on the recruitment of foster carers for Telford & Wrekin Council, ensuring children can stay local wherever possible.
- Building strong connections with the local community, public services, and businesses to raise awareness of fostering.
- Ensuring that anyone enquiring about fostering has a positive and consistent experience throughout the process.
- Supporting people through the assessment process to become approved foster carers, underpinned by our recruitment strategy.
- Assisting with event planning and delivery, and working closely with the Marketing and Communications Officer to maximise recruitment opportunities.
Qualifications and Preferences
- Passionate about making a difference for children and families.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Proactive, creative and able to engage with diverse communities.
- Can work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to achieve shared goals.
- Experience in recruitment, marketing or community engagement would be an advantage, but a shared vision and commitment to fostering is vital.
