Telford & Wrekin Council is seeking a Family Connect Safeguarding Team Manager (Social Worker) for 37 hours per week (permanent) at Grade PO16, with a salary range of £53,460 to £56,724. The role includes a market factor allowance of £3,000 and full reimbursement of your annual Social Work England registration fee. An incentive Golden Hello of £5,000 is offered, paid in two instalments: £2,000 upon commencing employment and £3,000 after completing 2 years of continuous service.

The Family Connect Safeguarding Team Manager will be responsible for leadership, management, supervision, accountability, and quality assurance for a group of social work and other staff within a specific service area. This ensures that the service provided is of a consistently high standard and meets the needs of Telford & Wrekin's communities while supporting the Council's visions and priorities.
The role involves positively engaging in, actively promoting, and leading the systemic approach to work with children, young people, and families. You will undertake duties expected of social work managers in line with the Professional Capabilities Framework at an advanced level.
