St. Matthew’s C.E. (Aided) Primary School and Nursery Centre is seeking an Early Years Foundation Stage Lead to join from September 2026. The successful candidate will have a key role in the continued development of provision and practice across Early Years, Nursery and Reception.
The position will focus on leading the EYFS team, ensuring high standards of safeguarding and child protection across the Early Years Foundation Stage, and supporting the Designated Safeguarding Lead as EYFS Deputy DSL.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of EYFS provision across Early Years, Nursery and Reception.
- Drive the team towards a shared vision, aligning diverse strengths into a unified team.
- Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead as EYFS Deputy DSL, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.
- Ensure all children are safe, supported and able to thrive, and that staff consistently follow statutory EYFS safeguarding procedures.
