Are you passionate about safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and families? We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead education’s strategic role within the Families First Partnership Programme (FFPP). This is a unique opportunity to influence policy, drive system‑wide improvements, and embed early help and family‑led approaches across all education settings.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key link between education and multi‑agency partners, ensuring schools, early years providers, colleges, and alternative provision are fully integrated into safeguarding arrangements.
  • Provide expert safeguarding advice and influence policy to strengthen compliance with statutory frameworks.
  • Champion early intervention and family voice through innovative approaches such as Family Group Decision Making.
  • Lead audits, training, and improvement plans to raise safeguarding standards across the education sector.
  • Ensure representation of education in Multi‑Agency Child Protection Teams, strategy meetings, and child protection conferences.

Qualifications

  • A degree‑level qualification (or equivalent experience) in education, social care, or a related safeguarding discipline.
  • Significant and recent experience in safeguarding and child protection within education settings.
  • In‑depth knowledge of statutory guidance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and multi‑agency partners in a complex safeguarding environment.
