Woodlands is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, capable, and highly motivated individual as a welcomed addition to our staff team.

Experience of using a synthetic phonics scheme, such as Read Write Inc., is an advantage, but a willingness to learn and commitment to our children’s education is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support class teachers in delivering high‑quality learning experiences.
- Work with small groups and individual pupils to boost attainment, particularly in English and Maths.
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of interventions.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including trips, events, and enrichment activities.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress reviews.
- Ideal Candidate
- Have a sound understanding of the relative curriculum knowledge and experience of working in Early Years & Foundation Stage or be willing to learn.
- Be enthusiastic, highly motivated, enjoy working with young children and be passionate about making a positive difference to children’s lives.
- Be creative and committed to making learning interesting and fun.
- Inspire trust, instil confidence, and embrace challenges to raise pupil expectation and attainment.
- Be able to work as part of a successful, hard‑working, dedicated team.
- Have had experience of shared planning and assessment to enable interpretation of data to support target setting and pupil tracking or be willing to learn.
- Have a good sense of humour.
- Be prepared to support children’s care.
Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant qualification (such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor qualification) is desirable.
- A good general standard of education including GCSE English and Maths to Grade C or equivalent.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.
