We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a fantastic group of pupils and contribute to their learning journey during a crucial stage of their education.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum for Year 2.
- Uphold and implement the school’s trauma-informed and responsive policies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all pupils.
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with children, colleagues, and families to promote wellbeing and positive learning outcomes.
- Adopt inclusive approaches to education, ensuring that all pupils, including those with additional needs, can access and succeed in learning.
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress effectively, using data to inform planning and interventions.
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct, safeguarding, and pupil welfare at all times.
- Contribute actively to the wider life of the school, including events, enrichment activities, and collaborative projects.
- Engage in professional development, reflecting on practice and seeking opportunities for growth in line with the Teachers’ Standards.
- Work collaboratively within a highly effective and motivated team, sharing best practice and supporting colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, fostering positive partnerships to support pupil progress.
- A passionate and experienced teacher with QTS.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
