Overview
Telford & Wrekin Council is looking for an exceptional Hub Manager at the Christopher Turley Armed Forces Hub to lead the next phase of development of a high‑quality, trauma‑informed and accessible support offer for serving personnel, veterans, reservists and their families.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day‑to‑day operation, strategic development and performance of the Hub, delivering meaningful, practical and person‑centred support on site and through outreach across Telford & Wrekin, Shropshire, South Staffordshire and Wolverhampton.
- Embed the Hub within the wider Ministry of Defence VALOUR system, ensuring compliance with VALOUR requirements while shaping the Hub’s long‑term sustainability.
- Manage community‑based, multi‑agency or support‑focused services, partnership working, project delivery, budget management, volunteer management and performance reporting.
- Deal with weekend and evening work requirements as demand and needs arise.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in managing community‑based or multi‑agency support services.
- Experience of partnership working, project delivery, budget management, volunteer management and performance reporting.
- A thorough understanding of the challenges faced by the Armed Forces Community and knowledge of service charities and other organisations that can provide support.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge.
