We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our happy, hardworking team at Grange Park Primary School, part of the Community Academies Trust, a multi‑academy trust committed to transforming schools into thriving community hubs.
Position Details
- Location: Grange Park Primary School, Grange Avenue, Stirchley, Telford TF3 1ET
- Contract: Permanent
- Salary: Scale 3, 0.5 to 0.6 (£25,583 – £25,989)
- Working Pattern: 27.5 hours per week, 08:45 – 15:15 Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year inclusive of a week TTO, plus 1 week.
- Start Date: 1st September 2026 (subject to safer recruitment checks)
Responsibilities
- Work with and supervise individual pupils, providing work, care and support programmes to enable access to learning and encourage full participation in class activities.
- Support the delivery of high‑quality learning and teaching under the instruction and guidance of senior and teaching staff.
- Provide educational, emotional, physical and personal care support, including moving and handling and meeting medical needs.
- Promote pupils’ independence, dignity, wellbeing and safety at all times, and may work in classroom or outside the main teaching area.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Fluent spoken English.
- Willingness to demonstrate commitment to the standards flowing from Community Academies Trust vision and values.
- Compliance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (passing the necessary checks).
