The Older People’s Team supports individuals in leading fulfilling and independent lives. As the Team Manager, you will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the North Older People’s Team, ensuring services are delivered effectively and efficiently, meeting statutory duties and all relevant policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of social workers and social care practitioners, providing supervision, annual appraisal, guidance and support.
  • Manage and supervise all interventions by Social Workers and Social Care Practitioners through caseload management, supporting and developing staff, providing expert advice and managing performance.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring value for money.
  • Foster strong partnerships with other agencies, service providers, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English is required – the ability to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
