Overview
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Teaching Assistant – Widney Junior School
£26,824 to £29,540 pro rata per annum. Actual salary for working 16 hours and 40 minutes per week, term time only, £10,354 to £11,402. Incremental progression is dependent on performance.
Part Time Term Time Only: 16 hours and 40 minutes a week (8:40am until 12pm) with possibility of afternoon hours (this will be discussed at interview).
Role
Widney Junior School is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join a team of friendly and experienced staff. The role we have available would include working in collaboration with the class teacher to support groups and individual children, including those with additional needs. We are looking for someone who has experience of working with children between the age range of 7 and 11, and some experience of delivering a phonics intervention would be desirable.
This is a fixed term contract starting 23rd February 2026 or as soon as available and will come to an end on 31st August 2026.
Visits to the school are welcome.
