Overview

Teaching Assistant - Two Rivers High School at WMJobs. Two Rivers High School serves 289 pupils with special needs; re-awarded Outstanding for SEN in March 2024.

Purpose of the role

You’ll be working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. The role will also include supervision of pupils during lunchtime.

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Supervise pupils at lunchtime.
  • Work with teaching staff, SLT, in-house specialists and therapy professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Start as soon as possible; term-time only; temporary or permanent basis.
  • 15 hours/week: Monday-Friday, 11am to 2pm (term-time).
  • Undertake duties as required by the school to contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • NVQ3 or equivalent qualification and experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs.
