South Bromsgrove High School (SIPS) is an oversubscribed, high performing 13-18 school. In the 2023 Ofsted inspection we were judged to be \'Good\' for Overall Effectiveness, with Leadership & Management, the Sixth Form and Personal Development all deemed \'Outstanding\'.
Responsibilities
- Join an existing team of Teaching Assistants to support and work with groups of students and individual students in lessons.
- Remain skilled in a variety of settings, be self-confident and a team player.
- Implement and support classroom activities as directed by teaching staff.
Qualifications and requirements
- Although no formal Teaching Assistant experience is necessary, a background working with students would be advantageous.
- Must be able to speak fluent English; essential requirement for this role.
- An enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) clearance is required.
- Post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016); ability to speak fluent and spoken English is essential.
- Post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check, including a Barred list check. If you are barred from working with children you are prohibited from applying.
- Keeping Children Safe in Education: online search will be conducted for shortlisted candidates.

- Hours: 20-30 hours per week (flexible); Term Time only
- Salary: TA1 SCP 2-4 (£23,656 – £24,404) actual salary £10,716 – £16,956 p.a.
