Employer: Waverley Education Foundation (WEF). Waverley School is an all-through school for students aged 4‑19 with a dedicated Resource Base for pupils with cognition and learning difficulties. The school was graded ‘Good’ in the most recent Ofsted inspection.
About the role: The role is to support the Primary Phase team, encouraging, motivating and enthusing pupils to promote individual progress and social collaboration. You will work as part of a team and support both mainstream and Resource Base pupils, helping integrate them into the classroom and meeting their individual learning needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Encourage, motivate and enthuse pupils to promote individual progress and social collaboration.
- Work effectively as part of a team to support pupil development.
- Support the integration of Resource Base pupils in mainstream education and nourish needs within the Resource Base.
- Assist with planning and delivery of lessons, adapting resources to pupils’ needs.
Qualifications and experience:
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Alignment with the school’s vision and values of Humanity, Equality, Aspiration and Respect.
- Meeting the person specification for the post.
- Subject to enhanced DBS and online checks in line with ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’.
