Teaching Assistant – Part‑time, Fixed‑term (to 31 August 2027)

Location: Hugo Meynell CofE (VC) Primary School, Market Drayton, Shropshire.

Contract: Part‑time, fixed‑term to 31 August 2027, subject to SEN funding & pupil numbers.
Working hours: 16.5 hours per week (3 days: 3 mornings of 3.25 hours and 3 afternoons of 2.25 hours) term time.
Equivalent full‑time salary: £25,989 – £26,403.
Actual salary: £10,013.72 per annum.

Responsibilities

  • Support children’s learning by working alongside a skilled team.
  • Assist individual children and groups in the classroom.
  • Take the lead in managing small groups of pupils for specific interventions.
  • Support the implementation of the school’s inclusive and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Contribute to the overall well‑being and behaviour management of pupils.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and support teaching staff as required.
  • Assist with lesson preparation and classroom set‑up.
