Overview

Beresford Memorial CE First School (part of The Talentum Learning Trust) is looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and inspiring Teaching Assistant to become an integral part of our strong and committed team. Position details

  • Position: Teaching Assistant
  • Start Date: November 2025 – ASAP
  • Contract Type: Term Time
  • Hours: 27.5 hours per week
  • Pay: Grade 3 Pay SCP 4 (£25,185 FTE, £13.05 per hour)

Beresford Memorial CE First School, Novi Lane, Leek, Staffordshire, ST13 6NR

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide structured 1:1 pupil support and small group interventions focusing on communication and interaction skills.
  • Assist class teachers with planning and delivering learning activities and targeted interventions.
  • Support the development and implementation of Assess, Plan, Do, Reviews (APDR).
  • Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to ensure all pupils receive the tailored support they need.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that prioritises pupil wellbeing and engagement.
