Overview
Teaching Assistant 1-1 at Red Hill CE Primary School, Worcester, Worcestershire County Council. Hours: 18:45hrs to 31:15hrs per role. Location: Red Hill CE Primary School. Permanent (x3 posts). Weeks: 39. The Governors and staff are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child/ren. Hours are fully flexible; applications for both part-time and full-time staff are welcomed. The post is term time only plus training days and includes the expectation to work in our After School Club provision.
The role focuses on supporting a child/ren within the primary age range, with scope for involvement with children with specific and/or complex needs, and contributing to high standards of progress and achievement within a Christian school environment.
Responsibilities
- Support children within the primary age range and school setting on a 1:1 basis
- Demonstrate experience or interest in working with children with specific and/or complex needs
- Maintain high expectations for children’s progress and achievement
- Take an imaginative and creative approach to curriculum learning to capture interest
- Be flexible, forward thinking, innovative and highly energetic
- Understand how children learn, including social and emotional development
- Commit to quality teaching and learning to enable the best outcomes
- Work well as part of the whole school team and school community
- Support the school’s Christian ethos as a church school
