Ormiston Forge Academy is looking to appoint an outstanding, creative and inspirational Teacher of Maths for the upcoming academic year. TLR payment may be available for the right candidate with pastoral responsibilities, including opportunities such as head of year and assistant head of year. Join an excellent Maths department that relentlessly focuses on raising achievement. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced qualified teacher (ECT) or an experienced teacher. All ECTs are well supported by an excellent induction programme.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess effective mathematics lessons that motivate, challenge and inspire students.
  • Promote a culture of high expectations and achievement within the department.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to inclusion and help foster a learning environment where all students can succeed.
  • Work collaboratively within the Maths team and wider school community, contributing to the wider life and ethos of the academy.
  • Take on pastoral responsibilities as required and support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Previous experience as a maths teacher.
  • Versatile to take on a range of activities and support teaching across subjects if required.
  • Ability to work within a larger team, with high expectations for all learners.
