Moorside High School is an extremely popular and over-subscribed comprehensive school in the Staffordshire Moorlands and part of the Potteries Educational Trust. The Trust is a growing Multi Academy Trust working collaboratively with educational institutions from across Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and beyond, seeking to improve outcomes for all children and young people in the region. The Trust is a vibrant Learning Community that maintains and develops excellent and innovative teaching and learning, delivering high quality parental engagement, pastoral support and the pooling of resources and expertise to achieve an outstanding learning experience and outcomes for all our children and young people. Position Details

  • Hours: 32.50 Hrs Monday – Friday
  • Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative teacher of English from September 2026.

Responsibilities & Expectations

As a Teaching Practitioner in the Trust, the successful candidate will join an excellent faculty committed to developing active learning strategies to challenge and inspire all students. The role requires the delivery of high quality teaching and pastoral support, fostering high quality academic and pastoral support for all students.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will be a talented and dedicated practitioner with a deep knowledge of English and a passion for their subject. Applications are invited from both experienced practitioners, early career teachers and those wishing to re‑train to teach English. We offer all our ECT's an excellent induction programme.
