Job Summary

Primary School Headteacher – Stratford‑upon‑Avon Primary School, Warwickshire

Salary: Group Size 2, Headteacher range L15 – L21 (£73,105 – £84,699 per annum). Additional £5,450 per annum for Professional Peer Coach.

Contract: Permanent, full‑time.

Closing Date: 2:00pm Friday 12th June 2026.

Start Date: January 2027 (potential earlier subject to availability).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the school’s educational vision and strategy, ensuring outstanding outcomes for all pupils.
  • Act as a fully trained professional peer coach for the Trust, providing leadership support to other schools.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive and stimulating environment for all children, irrespective of background or ability.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, the community and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee safeguarding and child protection policies, ensuring all staff share this commitment.
  • Champion the Trust’s values and ensure excellence in all aspects of school life.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Existing senior leader with a proven track record of leadership impact at primary level.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to inspire high expectations of staff.
  • Strong communicative ability to articulate a clear vision for the school.
  • Experience in developing children to reach their full potential, regardless of background.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.
  • Ability to speak fluent English and meet confidence requirement under Immigration Act 2016.
  • Professional Peer Coach training or willingness to undertake training.
