Alveston C of E Primary School is seeking a caring and dedicated Caretaker to join our community starting 1st September 2026. The Caretaker will be responsible for opening and checking the school building and grounds each day to ensure safety and a good condition, carrying out safety checks and maintaining the grounds and building in good order.
The successful candidate will be a keyholder and open the school each morning and will work both independently and as part of a team to complete tasks safely and efficiently. The role requires a minimum of 5 hours per week, from 7am to 8am, Monday to Friday, for 39 term‑time weeks plus 5 extra days during school holidays. The role is paid pro‑rata over 12 months with the possibility of extending hours or weeks for the right candidate.
No prior experience is required, but a willingness to be available, a practical approach and an eye for detail are desirable. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure. The school is located about 2 miles outside Stratford‑upon‑Avon town centre.
