Christ Church Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, resilient and compassionate Inclusion Support Officer to join our dedicated pastoral team.

Role Summary
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils whose behaviour or wellbeing may present barriers to learning.
Working closely with our pastoral, safeguarding and SEND teams, you will help pupils reflect on their choices, develop strategies for success and successfully reintegrate into lessons.
A significant part of the role will involve supporting our Reset Room, providing a calm, structured environment where pupils can regulate, reflect and continue with their learning.
You will use restorative approaches to help pupils understand expectations, repair relationships and return to learning positively.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with behaviour or wellbeing barriers and help them reflect on choices and develop strategies for success.
- Work with pastoral, safeguarding and SEND teams to promote reintegration into lessons.
- Provide support in the Reset Room, offering a structured environment for regulation, reflection and learning.
- Use restorative practices to teach expectations, repair relationships, and positively return pupils to learning.
- Liaise regularly with parents and external agencies, maintaining accurate records.
- Contribute to strategies that improve behaviour, attendance and pupil wellbeing.
- Promote excellent attendance: support pupils and families to overcome barriers, meet parents in attendance clinics, conduct home visits and welfare checks.
- Work with external agencies to ensure pupils receive support for regular attendance.
- Attend additional duties such as First Aid training or as an approved minibus driver if required.

- Experience working with children or young people in pastoral, behaviour or educational settings.
- Ability to build positive, professional relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Calm, resilient and consistent in supporting pupils through challenging situations.
- Commitment to inclusion and high expectations for every child.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive and dedicated team.
