Alpha Academies Trust is recruiting an experienced Trust Payroll Officer to join our busy payroll team. The role involves working 20 hours per week during term time plus one week (40.2 weeks) and is at Level 6. Applicants should have excellent organisational, customer‐service, and payroll experience, and be computer literate in Word and Excel. Training will be provided for the Arbor / HR system if required.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Have worked in a similar payroll role.
- Have an understanding of teacher and local government pay and conditions, and pension schemes.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Have an understanding of HMRC requirements relating to payroll.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
- Experience of using 'My View.'
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be detail‐oriented.
- Have analytical skills.
Working Conditions and Salary
- Hours: 20 hours per week (term time plus one week, 40.2 weeks). Working pattern will be agreed at interview.
- Salary: £13,859 – £15,034 per annum (Level 6), with the actual salary paid in line with the salary award pending.
- Location: Head office at The Discovery Academy, Stoke‐on‐Trent. The postholder may be required to work across all academy sites; personal transport is essential.
