- Salary Range: Grade 4 Scale point 6 £25,989 FTE, £9,103 pro rata
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant. Required from 1st September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the class teachers to ensure the needs of the child are met.
- Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with additional needs, including small group work where appropriate.
- Adapt learning activities daily to ensure access to a differentiated and highly personalised curriculum.
- Work proactively and flexibly to meet the child’s evolving needs.
- Collaborate closely with the SENCO and external agencies to deliver targeted support.
- Foster strong, positive relationships between home and school, making parents feel welcome and involved.
- Engage with multiple external professionals to implement best‑practice strategies.
- Hold at least a Level 3 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent qualification).
- Ideally, possess training or experience in language, communication and interaction techniques, alongside experience supporting children with neurodiverse needs.
- The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday in line with the child’s Education Health Care Plan.
