An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Mental Health Team as a Senior Social Worker on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sound knowledge of Social Work practice, legislation and statutory responsibilities, and understand local resources and systems.
  • Apply a strength-based approach to maximise the independence of individuals.
  • Manage a line of staff, focusing on outcomes, performance, wellbeing, recruitment and retention, and supervision.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Sound knowledge of Social Work practice, legislation, and statutory responsibilities.
  • Understanding of local resources and systems.
  • Awareness of the Mental Health Act is beneficial.
  • Experience in line management and supervision, with a focus on outcomes and staff wellbeing.
