Special Educational Needs Personal Care Support Worker covering maternity leave at Kemball School, Stoke-on-Trent. The role involves supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties, including complex medical and learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized support to pupils with severe learning, cognition, and learning difficulties.
  • Assist pupils with communication difficulties, hearing and visual impairments, behavioural needs, complex physical/medical needs, and sensory processing disorders.
  • Implement differentiated, individualized curriculum and support strategies.
  • Attend professional development courses and apply new initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working with pupils with cognition and learning difficulties.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of child protection and health & safety policies.
  • Willingness to undertake further professional development.

Working Hours

  • Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 8:45-3:35
  • Wednesday: 8:45-4:05
  • Friday: 8:25-3:35

32.5 hours per week, term time only.
