The Role: The Waste Services Team are currently recruiting for an Operations Assistant to join the team, the role is based at Burslem/Hanford Waste Recycling Centres. The successful application will have experience of working with the public, in this role it will include taking payments and carrying out licence checks as and when required. Experience of working on an operational depot or waste facility would be an advantage, hold a telehandler licence or be willing to work towards.

  • Carry out traffic management
  • Separate recyclable materials to avoid contamination of materials
  • Take payments from the public
  • Keep the sites clean and tidy
  • Complete any training required to fulfil the role

About You: Be able to work well as part of a team, have good knowledge of health and safety, work well with the public, and be able to operate machines (JCB).
