Ravensmead Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support our youngest learners in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Contract type: Temporary, 2 terms up to 31 August 2026.
Working pattern: 19.5 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm; Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 am – 3:15 pm).
Salary: Grade 3, Scale Point 4 £25,185 FTE; actual salary £11,468.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering high‑quality learning experiences.
- Work with individual children and small groups to promote progress and wellbeing.
- Assist with the preparation of resources and activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour and social development.
- Help to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Is caring, patient, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and families.
- Can work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when required.
- Is committed to promoting inclusion and supporting all children to thrive.
