Stoke-on-Trent City Council — Directorate: Resources, Section: Governance (Elections and Member Support), Location: Civic Centre, Grade: Level 3 Foundation Living Wage, Salary: £13.45 per hour, Hours: 37 h per week annualised (contracted to work 1,924 hours per year). Requires evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

The Role
- Provide a professional chauffeuring service to the Lord Mayor and Consort.
- Act as a macebearer to ensure the Lord Mayor’s formal presence at civic events.
- Ensure safe, timely attendance at official and civic engagements.
- Support the planning and delivery of civic events and ceremonies.
- Assist the Elections and Member Support Team with diary management, VIP liaison and broader democratic and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Chauffeuring the Lord Mayor and Consort to official and civic engagements.
- Acting as a macebearer and formally announcing the Lord Mayor at events.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of civic ceremonies and processions.
- Assisting with diary management, event logistics and handling enquiries.
- Providing flexible support across elections, member support and democratic services.
