The Inspirational Learning Academies Trust are seeking to appoint two Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work within the team at Whitfield Valley Primary Academy.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high quality teaching to drive up standards within the academy.
  • Work with groups of children on specific interventions and strategies, and demonstrate their impact.
  • Provide cover as required, following the planning of the class teacher.
  • Mark and assess children’s work under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Create an attractive, stimulating, safe and secure classroom environment through display and classroom organisation.
  • Contribute to the assessment of pupils, particularly those in the assigned group, through observations, records and discussions with other team members, parents and the Head of School.
  • Support the maintenance of positive links between home and school by welcoming parents and developing connections with other agencies.
  • Work throughout the three Key Stages (EYFS, KS1, KS2).
  • Hold a relevant HLTA qualification.
