Goldenhill Primary Academy (Part of The Societas Trust) is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and skilled Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, development, wellbeing and progress across school.
Role Overview
The main focus of the role will be to support children across the Foundation Stage with early learning and development, working under the direction of the class teacher and Foundation Stage Leader.
Responsibilities
- Support individual pupils and small groups under the direction of the class teacher.
- Support pupils across Foundation Stage.
- Act as a key worker for a group of children where appropriate.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
- Support pupils with SEND, including implementing IEPs and delivering interventions.
- Support assessment, observations and feedback on pupil progress.
- Prepare resources and support indoor and outdoor provision.
- Support children’s communication, language, social and emotional development.
- Assist with pupils’ personal care where required.
- Support educational visits and wider school activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all academy and Trust policies.
- Provide occasional short‑term emergency cover where required and appropriate.

Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent full and relevant qualification.
- Experience working with children in an Early Years, primary school or similar setting.
- Understanding of how children develop socially and academically.
- Knowledge of behaviour management approaches.
- Secure understanding of safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
