We are seeking a reflective, energetic teacher to join our Reception or KS1 team from September 2026. Early career teachers are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will teach in either EYFS or KS1 depending on experience, and will play a central role in securing the strong foundations pupils need in the first years of school.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, teach and assess well-sequenced, inclusive lessons that secure knowledge and progress for all pupils in Reception or KS1.
- Deliver high‑quality early reading and phonics, language‑rich teaching, early writing and number sense.
- Embed strong foundations in the first years of school: intentionally teach and reinforce early language, reading, writing, number skills and learning behaviours.
- Use assessment effectively to identify next steps and adapt teaching, including for disadvantaged and SEND pupils.
- Establish clear routines and behaviours that support learning and independence.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, classroom organisation and professional conduct.
- Communicate positively with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Recent, successful experience of teaching in Early Years or Key Stage 1.
- Strong knowledge of how to teach and embed the foundations in the first years of school: early language development, systematic phonics and early reading, early writing development, number sense and learning behaviours/routines.
- A secure understanding of primary assessment and how to use it to adapt teaching and secure progress for all groups.
