Kemball School, We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join our hard working and committed team from November 2026 to cover a maternity leave. The vacancy is for a teacher who can deliver a curriculum suited to subject specific pupils who have a range of learning difficulties and are taught using a highly adapted, individualised curriculum. Candidates must also have a willingness to further their own professional development by attending relevant courses and implementing new initiatives that would increase your understanding of our multisensory pathway and how to fully support our pupils’ needs
Kemball School part of the Orchard Community Trust and is a day special school for pupils with cognitive and learning difficulties. There are currently 227 pupils on roll aged 3-19. Dependent on need, pupils are educated in one of our four bespoke pathways. Please refer to our website for more information. This particular vacancy is within the Multisensory Pathway, teaching Key Stage 1 pupils. Knowledge and understanding of an EYFS/multisensory curriculum would be a strength. Across the multisensory pathway, our curriculum offer includes early maths and English skills, sensory Read Write Inc phonics, communication development and development of fine and gross motor skills. Pupils in our multisensory pathway have complex physical and medical needs. We have an excellent in house CPD offer that can support you in transitioning into the role of a special school teacher.

25th September 2026- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to school for a class visit, observe a lesson and chat with the pathway lead.
